Why choose SquadGame?
Remote and hybrid teams need intentional ways to socially connect. SquadGame provides shared team experiences that boost morale, strengthen relationships, and build collaboration skills. It combines immersive storytelling with structured team challenges to make virtual connection purposeful and impactful.
Who is SquadGame for?
SquadGame is designed for organizations that want their own teams to connect and strengthen relationships through collaboration and friendly competition. It's ideal for remote and hybrid groups, global teams across time zones, onboarding new employees, and celebrating milestones or achievements. The event is private—participants are nominated by the customer, and teams work together while competing against each other for the top spot.
Is SquadGame training, a game, or something else?
SquadGame is a gamified adventure where your employees form teams, collaborate on survival challenges, and compete in a friendly competition. It's not formal training, but it helps strengthen relationships while building teamwork skills like communication and decision-making—all within a high-energy, memorable experience.
How is SquadGame different from other virtual events?
SquadGame is a private event for your organization, where nominated participants are divided into teams that collaborate and compete in a survival-themed adventure. The experience blends immersive storytelling, breakout team collaboration, and AI-powered feedback on teamwork—all while strengthening relationships through shared challenges. The gamified format makes collaboration engaging while adding the motivation of friendly competition.
What happens during the event?
Each SquadGame event is fully guided by a virtual survival host who introduces the story and sets the scene. Participants are divided into private team rooms where they collaborate, share ideas, and reach consensus on survival decisions. Every choice impacts the storyline and your team's score. The live leaderboard tracks progress and builds excitement, and the session concludes with a shared celebration as all teams complete the adventure together. The format is designed to strengthen relationships through teamwork and the fun of friendly competition.
How long does it last?
A SquadGame event runs for around 60 minutes, including introduction, survival challenges, and a wrap-up celebration. The session is fast-paced, interactive, and designed to deliver a complete experience within a single hour, making it easy to schedule into the workday.
How many people can play?
Each SquadGame event is private to your organization and accommodates 4 to 25 participants. For larger groups, multiple sessions can be scheduled. To keep the competition engaging, events require at least two teams, with participants nominated by you as the organizer.
Is the experience competitive or collaborative?
Both. Inside their team rooms, participants collaborate to solve challenges, make decisions, and strengthen relationships. At the same time, teams compete against each other on the live leaderboard in a friendly competition. This balance of teamwork and rivalry keeps the event engaging while reinforcing collaboration skills.
Will we receive feedback on teamwork?
Yes. SquadGame uses AI to provide real-time feedback during the event. Teams receive insights on their collaboration style, highlighting strengths such as communication, trust, and problem-solving. Each group also receives one suggested growth opportunity to consider. The feedback is shown live during the experience, helping teams strengthen relationships and reflect on how they work together.
Is the event experience the same if we play again?

How do I book an experience?
Sign up / Log in to the portal, make a purchase, select your adventure, pick a date/time, and add the participants. Your booking appears under Manage My Bookings in the Customer Portal.
Can I schedule later after purchasing?
Yes. If you're not ready to pick a time, your purchase remains in your account until you schedule. When you are ready, log in to our customer portal and select 'Book SquadGame' to successfully schedule your event.
How do I reschedule an event?
Sign in to the Customer Portal → Manage My Bookings, select your event, and choose a new date/time. You can reschedule any time before the event begins, provided no participant has logged in during the 5 minutes before the scheduled start or at the start time.
Can I cancel my event and get a refund?
You can change booking details of your event anytime up to the start of your event. Yes, refunds are available in line with our cancellation policy. Cancel via Manage My Bookings.
How far in advance can I book?
You can book SquadGame up to a year in advance with flexibility to change your booking. For teams keen to have a last-minute adventure, same-day bookings are also possible. You will want to ensure that participants are given enough time to organize to participate in a quiet space, perform the recommended system test prior to the event, and are ready and prepared to have an epic experience!
Can I add or remove participants after booking?
Yes, you can do this prior to your event in the SquadGame Customer portal. Navigate to 'Manage My Booking' and select your event to make any edits required.
Can I increase the event size ("supersize")?
Yes. You can upgrade the participant count in the portal before your event.
What's the difference between "Manage My Bookings" and "Participant Register"?
Manage My Bookings controls the event (date, time, cancellation, rescheduling and participants invited). Participant Register is the master list of Participants you have registered that can participate in SquadGame.
Invitations & Hosting contains 6 questions.
How do I invite participants?
After booking, you'll receive an email with your event link and a ready-to-send invite template. Personalize and forward this to your team. Invitations are not automatically sent by our system.
Where do I find the invite template?
In the booking confirmation email sent directly to you after you have purchased and scheduled your SquadGame Adventure.
Do I need to send reminders?
Yes. We recommend sending the initial event invite to participants' calendars and sending reminders a week in preparation, a couple of days prior, and the day before the event.
What happens if participants join late?
The event begins right on time. Anyone joining more than 5 minutes late will not be able to join the link, as the opening segment contains important instructions, story background, and initial team-building dynamics. To avoid issues, organizers should communicate this well in advance and encourage everyone to join promptly.
Does the person who books the event need to attend?
No, this is not necessary as the game will still launch automatically. However, we do recommend the purchaser participate in the SquadGame so they do not miss out on all the fun!
Can we test if the platform will work on our PCs before the event?
Yes. The system test link is included in the booking confirmation email and must be shared by the organizer with all participants. It is the organizer's responsibility to distribute this link so that each attendee can check their PC, camera, microphone, and internet connection before the event. Running the test in advance ensures participants are fully set up, avoids last-minute technical issues, and helps the event start smoothly on time.
Gameplay & Experience Details contains 5 questions.
How are teams formed?
The person booking using the SquadGame Customer Portal schedules all participants for their private event and assigns them into teams. The organizer can set teams manually or choose the system to assign teams randomly. During the event, each team works together in a breakout room, collaborating on challenges and competing only against the other teams from the same booking.
Is there a team leader?
No team leader is assigned. The format is intentionally designed so every participant can play an active role. Leadership may emerge naturally within the team, but the game rewards those who effectively collaborate and reach consensus together.
Can I observe without participating?
No. SquadGame is a hands-on experience, not a spectator event. SquadGame is built around teamwork and shared decision-making, so we encourage you to join in with your team—you'll enjoy the adventure much more by being part of it.
Can two teams tie?
Yes. The scoring system allows for ties. If two teams perform equally well, they'll share the same spot on the leaderboard, and both groups can enjoy the win together.
What if one team has fewer members?
Different team sizes are supported. Smaller teams often reach consensus faster, while larger teams bring more perspectives. Either way, results come from the quality of discussion and decisions, not headcount. Success depends on teamwork, not team size.
Technical Setup contains 12 questions.
Do I need to download anything?
No. SquadGame runs entirely in your web browser—there are no apps or downloads required. The organizer will receive a system test link with the booking confirmation and must share it with all participants. Each participant should complete the test ahead of the event (ideally the day before) to confirm that their browser, camera, microphone, and internet connection are working correctly. Doing this in advance ensures everyone can join on time and that the event begins smoothly without delays.
What devices or software are needed to join the event?
SquadGame runs in a web browser, so no downloads are required, but all participants must complete the system test from their invitation email. A PC or laptop with a working camera and microphone is required. Mobile devices and tablets are not recommended for full functionality and a stable internet connection is essential.
What types of challenges or scenarios and puzzles will we face in the team rooms?
SquadGame challenges are immersive and scenario-driven, requiring teams to make strategic decisions based on unfolding events. These could involve navigating scenarios, or making risk-based decisions. Each challenge is designed to test teamwork, communication, and critical thinking. Teams must collaborate, discuss options, and reach a consensus to advance in the game.
Is there a team leader for the challenges, or does everyone contribute equally?
There is no pre-assigned leader—every participant plays an active role in making decisions. The best-performing teams are those that work together and encourage all individuals to input into decisions. Teams that collaborate effectively and strive to reach consensus tend to perform better on the leaderboard.
Do we need any special skills or knowledge to participate?
No specific skills or prior experience are needed. A willingness to communicate, listen, and make quick decisions as a team is all that's required. The game is designed for all participants, regardless of background, and is designed to be accessible and fun for everyone.
Is SquadGame competitive, or do we all collaborate as one team?
SquadGame is a competitive experience where teams work together within their own groups but compete against other teams to climb the leaderboard. While competition adds excitement, collaboration within each team is key. The best-performing teams are those that communicate effectively and make well-thought-out decisions rather than rushing through the challenges.
Can we see other teams' progress during the event?
Yes, the leaderboard is visible throughout the game, showing how your team ranks in comparison to others. This adds an element of excitement and motivation.
What happens if a participant arrives late or experiences technical issues?
Late arrivals (beyond 5 minutes) will not be able to join the game. Since the experience is structured in real-time, missing key instructions and setup can disrupt both the individual and the team's experience. If a participant has technical issues, they should attempt to reconnect as soon as possible. However, if they cannot resolve the problem in time, the team will have to continue without them. To prevent issues, all participants should complete the system test from their email invitation in advance and ensure they have granted camera and microphone access.
How do I add or remove participants before the event?
Participants can be added or removed up to 1 hour before the event by navigating to the "Manage My Bookings" page and using the icons to adjust the attendee list. If a participant can no longer attend, teams can proceed with fewer members.
Can I reschedule the booked game if something comes up?
Yes, you can reschedule your event up to 1 hour before the scheduled time. Rescheduling is entirely self-service, so there's no need to contact customer support—simply adjust your booking online by going to the "Manage My Bookings" page and using the icons on your event to select a new date and time.
Is the event live or pre-recorded, and how is it facilitated?
SquadGame is a live, interactive event with an automated virtual presenter guiding the experience. The event unfolds in real-time, with each team navigating challenges and making decisions on the spot. While certain elements, such as video storytelling, are pre-recorded for immersion, the interactions and decision-making aspects are fully dynamic, ensuring a unique experience for each group.
How does SquadGame help with team-building and collaboration?
By creating a shared experience that is fun and engaging, SquadGame helps teams build stronger relationships, leading to improved collaboration in the workplace. Our events are designed to strengthen teamwork by encouraging communication, strategic thinking, and collective decision-making. The challenges simulate real-world collaboration scenarios, helping teams practice working together under pressure and working together to reach consensus.
